Shiloh Lundahl LDS Therapist

Shiloh Lundahl, LCSW, is a bilingual (Spanish), LDS therapist who specializes in working with children, teens, and their families.  He works hard to live the standards of the LDS church and uses the principles and values he has learned as a member of the LDS church in his work as a therapist.  However, he does not impose his own values or belief on others, but rather, he helps people along their journey of learning and growth.  He counsels with individuals and families of all faiths and backgrounds.

Shiloh helps families where parents are struggling with knowing what to do about their children’s behaviors and the parents have tried many different types of consequences or punishments but they haven’t seemed to have worked.  In such situations, Shiloh works with parents to help parents understand the underlying problems that motivate their children’s behaviors and what parents can do to help their kids with those problems in order to help their kids change their behaviors.

Shiloh has a great way with working with kids and helps them quickly feel comfortable in the therapy office to the point that they engage in therapy quickly.

Shiloh’s approach to therapy includes four stages:

1. Building relationships of trust in order to help children and parents feel comfortable enough to open up and discuss difficult problems or situations they are experiencing.

2. Raising self-awareness and insight as to how one’s experiences and beliefs affect one’s behaviors and interactions with others.

3. Education and skill building in order to learn how to overcome self-defeating behaviors and break unhealthy cycles of interactions.

4. Practicing the learned skills with supportive coaching in order to create healthier ways of problem solving or to process traumatic events that lead to the undesired behaviors.

Rates for Counseling Services

Shiloh Does not currently accept insurance reimbursements. The following are the rates he charges for therapy services.

  • 50-Minute In-Office Therapy Session = $160
  • 50-70 Minutes – In-Home Therapy Session = $200

For family counseling or when counseling with younger children, Shiloh prefers to provide counseling in the home environment.  Through in-home counseling, Shiloh has found that he can learn about the family dynamics and the family system at a much faster rate and, therefore, can help affect change within the family much quicker.
